THE ESSENCE OF A SITE: FERMENTATION / OPEN CALL: ARTIST RESIDENCY
S radostí oznamujeme, že díky programu Ministerstva kultury České republiky NPO letos podpoříme až pět umělců – umělkyň nebo uměleckých dvojic/skupin z oblastí performativního umění, sound art či interdisciplinární tvorby, kterým umožníme pracovat na třech místech v Karlových Varech na svých tvůrčích projektech po dobu jednoho či dvou týdnů.

It is our pleasure to announce that, thanks to a new programme of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, we offer up to five artist residencies in the town of Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic) for artists/ artist groups working in the fields of performing arts, sound art, and interdisciplinary art-based projects. The length of the residency is one or two weeks and it is expected that the work realized during the residency of the artist will be site-specific.

Jakými způsoby lze zachytit esenci místa, města jako proces, v jeho (současném) vření a kvasu? Jaké tvary času můžeme najít kolem sebe?
Jak se současnost vepisuje do rytmů, tempa a struktur města?
V rámci výzvy nás zajímá tvorba v různých interdisciplinárních kontextech: environmentálním, sociálním, psychologickém, psychogeografickém, místotvorném apod.

What shapes of time can we find around us?
How is contemporaneity inscribed in rhythms, pace, and structures of the town? We are interested in art-based explorations of specific sites set in a variety of interdisciplinary contexts, spanning from environmental and social, to psychological, psycho-greographical, and locus-creating ones.

° možnost zpomalit v tempu lázeňského města, zkoumat, experimentovat, rozvíjet se, soustředit a pracovat v místech s jedinečným geniem loci v Karlových Varech
° ubytování a prostor pro práci
° náklady na dopravu dle dohody
° produkční podporu a konzultace
° příspěvek na materiál či technické zajištění
° honorář ve výši 7000 Kč (týden) – 14000 Kč (14 dnů) (v případě tvůrčí dvojice/kolektivu bude tato částka rozdělena mezi všechny členy)
° ubytování a prostor pro práci
° náklady na dopravu dle dohody
° produkční podporu a konzultace
° příspěvek na materiál či technické zajištění

WE OFFER
° an opportunity to slow down in the pace of a spa town, to explore, to experiment, develop ideas, and to concentrate;
° an opportunity to work at places with a unique genius loci in Karlovy Vary;
° accommodation;
° a space for work at a specific location;
° to cover transport fees, or its part, depending on the amount;
° production support and help;
° financial contribution to cover material / technical needs, or its part, depending on the amount;
° honorarium in the amount of CZK 7,000 per week (if the applicant is an artistic couple or a collective, the amount will be distributed among all the members)
